Independent Review
An Independent Review is a review of the Financial Statements in accordance with the International Standard on Review Engagements. We plan and perform the review to obtain limited assurance as to whether the financial statements are free of material misstatement. A thorough understanding of the business is obtained and areas that are likely to be misstated are identified for further audit-type procedures. This is a useful alternative to the full audit in that it adds credibility to the Financial Statements and provides limited assurance to the users, without the onerous requirements of a full audit.
Compilation
A Compilation is the preparation of Annual Financial Statements in terms of International Financial Reporting Standards. Before issuing the Compilation Report we perform a high level review of the financial information. Although this is neither an Audit nor an Independent Review (and no assurance is given) we will review all balances and reconciliations for accuracy and statutory compliance. This provides the users with a certain level of comfort at a reasonable rate.
Payroll
Payroll is a sensitive and confidential aspect of all businesses. Even if a competent in-house accountant is available it is often advised to outsource this function to maintain confidentiality. Further to this the related payroll tax issues need to be dealt with in terms of the income Tax Act, and failure to do this may result in the company being responsible for any taxes not deducted as required. It therefore takes a professional who understands the requirements of the law to ensure full compliance and limit the company exposure. We offer a service that ensure confidentiality and takes the stress out of the month end payroll.
